Three herbs. A simpler answer.
Sylvan started with a very British frustration: watching a Cocker Spaniel chew his paws raw, cycle through three different "grain-free" foods, take two courses of steroids, and still be back at the vet in six weeks. Nothing was wrong on paper — but something was clearly wrong with him.
The vet mentioned the gut once. In passing. That was the crack in the door.
What we noticed
Modern dog wellness has quietly become 27-ingredient marketing formulas, monthly chemical wormers, and food that costs £60 a bag. Every category has stacked on complexity, hoping the customer won't notice they're paying for a shopping list, not a solution.
Herbalists have been working with three specific plants — Black Walnut hull, Wormwood, and Oregon Grape root — as a gentle seasonal cleanse for centuries. The herbs work. The marketing has just never made them feel modern.
Why Sylvan exists
